Kenyatta attended the Nativity of the Lord mass at the church and urged Kenyans to embrace each other during the festive period by helping the needy.
This comes after the Head of State delivered his Christmas message to the country on Monday and called for Kenyans to be in service of each other.
“When we commit our heart and our hands to making the world around us a better place for all, we are fulfilling the promise that began in that humble Manger in Bethlehem all those Millennia ago,” remarked Kenyatta.
Christmas speech to the nation
During his speech, Kenyatta who is serving his second and final term in office, pointed out that the meaning of Christmas was a time to help others irrespective of other than just having a good time.
“Christmas is a welcome reminder that we are all children of a Loving God, who wants us to follow His ways always.
“Our Savior calls on all of us to do good to all and to live every day in service of others,” stated the President.
He further warned Kenyans to exercise caution while having fun during the festive season.
