Rare photos documenting the milestones and the life of President Uhuru Kenyatta who was born at Aga-Khan hospital in Nairobi have surfaced online.

The priceless photos capture key moments in his life, moments spent with his father the late President Jomo Kenyatta and depict him rubbing shoulders with notable personalities across the continent at an early age.

The president was born on 26 October 1961 at around 11 AM with Nurse Fredah Shibonje overseeing the delivery.

Among the first people to see the newborn was Jomo Kenyatta and his Vice President the late Jaramogi Oginga Odinga.
