How Ali kiba makes and spends his money

In 2011, Ali Kiba was voted as “the most popular top selling artist in East Africa” by synovate research.

He has won numerous music awards, collaborated with some of the biggest international acts and every time he goes on stage he effortlessly reduces even the soberest of ladies into uncontrollable cheer leaders because of his ‘boyish looks and sexy voice.

“ Do not be like that, you are too smart dada! seduce me like that a hell, what a hell , do not do like that, you are too smart dada seduce me like that a hell, what a hell....Najua Kupenda, Nagama vumba na kama unataka they call me Kiba rockstar...you know me girl, I go by the name Ali Kiba, unstoppable” sings part of the Seduce me chorus perhaps highlighting the high life one of Tanzania’s biggest music acts enjoys with abandon.

Alikiba, ‘Ali Saleh Kiba’ born into a family of three siblings is a Tanzanian musician who since his entry into the music industry twenty years ago has ruled the airwaves like a ‘King’.

He is the first child of Tombwe Njere and Saleh Omari, and was born on 26th November 1986 in Iringa Tanzania.

He attended Upanga Primary School where he horned his dancing and singing skills before later progressing to secondary school for his secondary level education.

He released his first album in 2007 aptly named ‘Cinderella’ which went to become one his biggest music break-throughs.

He went ahead to release another album, ‘Alikiba 4 Real’, in 2008 which also enjoyed massive airplay and from there he was unstoppable.

In 2011, Ali Kiba was voted as “the most popular top selling artist in East Africa” by Synovate research.

Ali kiba is estimated to worth about $5 million but this figure is conservative since despite being one of the biggest African artistes he likes to keep his affairs private so there is very little information about his true wealth out there.

He sits in position number two, on the top 10 Tanzania richest men list; the only Tanzanian music star wealthier than him is Diamond Platnumz.

The biggest source of revenue for Ali Kiba comes from his music and copyright royalty fees.

A single performance in a top club earns the musician not less than $4,000 and when he performs intentionally his appearance fees goes through the roof.

He also a recording label called RockStar4000 which earns him extra buck.

Apart from music, Ali Kiba also owns a clothing label which is now spreading across East Africa further ensuring he 'sings' all the way to the bank.

Due to his popularity, politicians have also approached him in the past to headlined their campaigns.

In 2017, Flamboyant Mombasa Governor, Ali Hassan Johocontracted him for months on end to entertain voters in his rallies earning millions of shilling in the process.

He even performed on Kenya’s opposition main and last rally held at Uhuru Park, Nairobi.

On September 1st when Kenya’s Supreme Court nullified the presidential elections, the ‘Sultan of Mombasa’ as he likes to fondly refer to himself sent a private jet to pick Ali Kiba so has to join them in their celebrations.

Ali Kiba loves toys and when he is not in the studio singing he is definitely out there losing himself in them.

He owns acres of land and top of the range cars plus a posh home in Dar es Salaam.

He currently drives a BMW X5.

Apart from cars, Ali Kiba also loves to look good and spend a sizeable income of his wealth on designer suits and designer watches.
