The bikini segment was nothing short of shocking

The highlight of last definitely had to be the bikini wear moments which had plus size models rock it like nobody’s business.

Size has long been a topic of controversy on the runways. Each year the event brings new initiatives and one of the was moving from the size zero sample.

This year’s fashion show has follow through when it comes to actually showing diversity of size (not to mention color) on the catwalk.

The plus size models pranced in their swim wears of different fabrics in a dramatic but professional way which was entirely intriguing.

The chants of the audience were so deafening and the blinding flash lights of their devices as each and everyone wanted to capture the moments. It is beautiful knowing that big models are feeling very comfortable in their skin.

Sure, some designers used plus-size models on their runways and the headlines follow—but then, so does the inevitable return to models-as-hangers.

But since not one, but two designers have sent women of all sizes down the runway only two days into fashion week, with very little fanfare, could the trend finally be becoming the norm?

The event is still ongoing till Sunday, 8th October,2017. It promises to be bigger and better as each day goes by.
