The Christmas tree, launched by Nakuru county governor Lee Kinyanjui, has been mocked for resembling a tent. This despite the fact that it cost the county Sh5 million to set it up.
Most Kenyans termed it a misplaced priority with others seeing it as an ugly edifice adding no value to the county.
However, a number of other netizens saw no wrongdoing in the tree saying it was a work of art.
“Ours is a unique kind of Christmas tree unlike any other. It shows creativity and those calling it names should instead look at the creative side,” noted another Kenyan.
