Kenyans cannot believe the CEO of the hospital that performed a brain surgery on the wrong patient is still in office
The incident is said to be one of the worst cases of medical malpractice to become public at the hospital.
The facility, through Ms Koros, apologized over the incident said to be one of the worst cases of medical malpractice to become public at the hospital.
She stated that there was a mix-up of patients leading to a brain surgery being performed on the wrong patient.
"The hospital deeply regrets this event and has done all it can to ensure the safety and well-being of the patient in question. We are happy to inform the public that the patient is in recovery and progressing well," Koros said.
Ms Koros further stated that the hospital has suspended the admission rights of a Neurosurgery Registrar and interdicted three other medical staff.
However, Kenyans felt shortchanged by the medical institution's gesture given that the facility has been tainted by a series of scandals for the past few months.
They called on Ms. Koros to resign immediately adding that she is not competent enough to run the country's largest referral hospital.
