How Victor Wanyama makes and spends his millions

A glimpse into the luxury world of the Tottenham Hotspur star

The 26-year old has had an illustrious career as a footballer, being the first Kenyan to ply his trade in one of Europe's top leagues.

He is arguably the best paid Kenyan athlete earning millions per month at Tottenham while having various endorsement deals.

Business Insider takes a look at how he makes and spends his fortune:

How he makes his money

Wanyama is currently on a five-year contract at Tottenham Hotspur that sees him take home $97,562 (Kshs9.8 million) per week which translates to about $390,248 (Ksh39.5 million) per month.

He also has a number of multi-million endorsement deals with several companies including telecommunication firm Safaricom.

How he spends his money

Wanyama certainly has a penchant for finer things in life and more so on cars. He has time and again been spotted driving around in classy cars during his stay both in the United Kingdom and Kenya.

The 'Lion of Muthurwa' star is said to cruise in a Volkswagen Crafter CR53 Maxi worth Ksh30 million while in Kenya.

The state-of-the-art German vehicle has a couple of stunning features including ten seater rotating chairs, 3D TV screens with sports channels, exterior CCTV cameras among others.

Other cars owned in his possession include a Hummer H3, Lexus V8, Jaguar, and a Cadillac Escalade Platinum 2011.

Wanyama lives in Winchester, a small city in England devoid of media glare which suits the footballer who often prefers to live a private life.

And not to forget his philanthropic trait as he notably makes a number of charitable donations. He also treats his family to a number of excursions while taking them for shopping trips in London.
