90's RnB divas open up about getting plastic surgery like never before
Unlike our country Kenya, having plastic surgery is no rare thing in Hollywood.
And SWV who have been in Hollywood for close to 3 decades are not any different as they have had a little work done and the best part of all is that they admit to it.
During their visit to Kenya, the group constituting ofTamara "Taj" Johnson-George, Cheryl "Coko" Clemons and Leanne "Lelee" Lyons had a little chat with Miana Kageni of Classic 105 about music, being relevant all these years and undergoing a few plastic surgery procedures over the years.
Here is how the plastic surgery discussion went on the Kenyan radio station:
Maina Kageni: How do you stay fabulously in shape?
Taj: Make up!
Coco: Plastic surgery. Lee Lee and I have had it.
Maina: No you haven’t had it…really?
Coco: I got a tummy tuck, I had some lipo. Lelee tell them what you did girl!
Lelee: I had this popular procedure called the Brazilian Butt-lift where they take fat out of your stomach and put in your butt and lipo. (Lipo-suction)
Taj on the other hand did not have a major procedure; she just had her teeth done.
And few can tell that they have had surgery, maybe the fact that they weren’t so heavy handed with the surgery and that’s why their work looks so natural.
As 63 year old super-model Christie Brinkley told New Beauty“If you want to look refreshed, it has to be with a light hand. It’s one of the biggest mistakes when people deliberately go for that ‘done’ appearance — to each his own, obviously, but that’s not good. It’s important to choose the right doctor if you want to do anything along those lines. Don’t change your face; maybe just change a wrinkle or two that’s bothering you. You still should look like you.”
