Nairobians love their chicken

It is no news that Kenyans love their chicken,whatever style that it may come in. This is also why there is no shortage of fast food franchises offering chicken in Nairobi,the capital. But which franchise should you go with if you are looking for the best tasting barbecued chicken in Nairobi.

Business Insider Sub Saran Africa put three of the most prominent franchises to test,spending between KS350 to KES1000 per meal. We got four of our writers and producers to do a blind test to ensure that our ranking was not determined by brand loyalty.

Of our four tasters, Jerome was the only one who loved Dominos barbecued wings giving it a perfect 10. Shem described it as chewy while scoring it a 5 and Diana criticised the smell of the flavouring. She also gave it a 5.

Java House have a wide array of chicken meals and we stumped for their five piece barbecued wings. Diana scored it an 8,loving its softness and thorough taste of flavouring. Dulcie agreed,eyes closed as she praised its flavour and juice. Jerome also scored it an 8 with Shem the least impressed as he scored it a 7.

Chicken Inn's chicken took 35 minutes to prepare and cost the least at KES 350 . Dulcie scored it a perfect 10 for its taste and choice of flavoring. Diana's highest praise as well was reserved for this meal,scoring it a 9 for its taste. Shem was underwhelmed and scored it a 6 while Jerome gave it a 7.

Verdict: Overall If you are hungry and want some quality wings while in Nairobi,we recommend you pop into a Java House and order their wings. Its a solid combination of decent price and great taste. Chicken Inn is not a bad option either.
