Two brothers from Kigaa, Runyenjes Constituency have found a rather unique way to woo voters to re-elect President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Uhuru recognized their effort and offered them a special reward.
The two, Cyrus Njiru aka Prof Maximum and his brother James Muchangi, have built a ‘ground aeroplane’ which they are using to campaign for Uhuru who is seeking a second term in office.
The contraption is assembled from a modified rickshaw covered with canvas designed to imitate the front, the fuselage and wings of a small aeroplane.
The 'airplane' which cannot fly has a single turbine at the front, and scores of blinking lights which give the machine the look of a real aeroplane.
And it seems as though President Kenyatta their effort and rewarded them. The head-of-state sent the two brothers Sh500, 000 ($5,000) which was delivered to them by nominated MP Cecily Mbarire.
Indeed, it was a dream come true for the two brothers who said they spent more than Sh100, 000 to construct the ‘airplane.’
The “aeroplane” is inscribed with campaign posters of the President as well as those of local leaders including Cecile Mbarire and Embu Governor Martin Wambora.
