President Donald Trump on Monday removed Anthony Scaramucci as the White House communications director after he had served in the role for 10 days, The New York Times and other outlets reported.

"Anthony Scaramucci will be leaving his role as White House communications director," White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement. "Mr. Scaramucci felt it was best to give chief of staff John Kelly a clean slate and the ability to build his own team. We wish him all the best."

Doha based international media house, Al Jazeera suffered another blow last week.

Israeli communication minister, Ayoub Kara announced on Sunday during a press conference in Jerusalem that the country planned to revoke media credentials of Al Jazeera journalists and close the network's office in Jerusalem.

"We have based our decision on the move by Sunni Arab states to close the Al Jazeera offices and prohibiting their work," Kara said, adding that the channel is being used by groups to "incite" violence - an accusation the network has denied.

Four Arab countries led by Saudi Arabia also moved to bar Al Jazeera media house in their countries as well as impose a sting of economic sanctions accusing Qatar of supporting terrorism and destabilizing the region.

President Nicholas Maduro, on 30th July, held a constitutional assembly vote to increase his powers to deal with growing popular dissatisfaction with his government.

The poll triggered international alarm and deadly street protests against Maduro and more than ten countries of the region, among them Argentina, Colombia, and Peru, said that would not recognize the electoral results.

Big spender China comes to the rescue of battered and poor Haiti

The Central American nation of Haiti last week received a major shot in the arm from China.

China plans to invest $30 billion in Haiti’s infrastructure according to the Haitian Press Agency (AHP).

This week the Mayor of Port-au-Prince, Youri Chevry, hosted the signing of an agreement between the Haitian company Bati Ayiti (Build Haiti), headed by former Senator Amos André, and the Southwest Municipal Engineering and Design Research Institute of China.

“This accord may finally break the grip that the eternal exploiters of Haiti had for decades on the poor people of Haiti while they greatly benefited from favors and monopolies from corrupt governments,” says Bernard Sansaricq, the former Senate President of Haiti, in an email.

Last May, China’s president Xi Jinping hosted the first Belt and Road Forum (“One Belt, One Road”) in Beijing, offering hundreds of billions of dollars to over 100 interested countries for infrastructure projects.

The agreement includes the construction of a 600 megawatt power plant to electrify Port-au-Prince, the construction of a new City Hall, markets, thousands of apartments, and eventually a railway from Port-au-Prince to the countryside.

8 Year old enters Guinness Book of Records

The world received its latest hero last week whose adventure and undaunted spirit charmed the whole world.

8-year-old Roxy Getter from Florida last week become the youngest female to summit Mount Kilimanjaro.

Getter climbed the famed 19,341-foot mountain in Tanzania alongside her 10-year-old brother, Ben, and her parents, Sarah and Bobby.

“Day one was one of the hardest days…it was like the second hardest…because you had to go like up down and up and down and then you had to do the steep stair,” Getter told CBS.

Getter now joins Los Angeles resident Keats Boyd in the history books. Boyd reached the summit of Kilimanjaro at just 7 years old, according to Climb Kilimanjaro Guide, and remains the youngest person ever to summit.
