Floyd Mayweather's dad says he is "pretty sure" his son will fight Manny Pacquiao again, and when he does, he will "kick his ass."

Mayweather and Pacquiao have been touted for a rematch ever since their May 2015 bout at the MGM Arena in Las Vegas, which Mayweather won by unanimous decision.

A second fight is yet to be confirmed but Mayweather's father, Floyd Mayweather Sr., believes it will happen sometime in the future.

"I'm pretty sure that they are gonna fight," Mayweather Sr. told TMZ Sports when asked whether his son would rematch Pacquiao. "If Pacquiao say he wants to fight, I'm pretty sure they're gonna fight."

When asked how confident he was the fight would happen, he said: "Watch this."

And Mayweather Sr. is not only confident the fight will take place, but also, when it does, that his son will emerge victorious again.

"Man! My son will kick his ass the second, third, fourth, fifth [time]!"

Mayweather Jr. and Pacquiao have regularly talked up a rematch ever since they first fought four years ago.

In 2016, Mayweather told ESPN he would rematch the Pacquiao once he recovered from a rotator cuff injury a knock the Filipino reportedly suffered during the build up to their first fight.

And only last year, both fighters announced on their social media accounts that they were set to fight again, only for nothing to materialize.

Mayweather has fought only twice since beating Pacquiao in 2015, first against Andre Berto four months later, and then against MMA fighter Conor McGregor, whom he faced in Las Vegas in 2017.

Mayweather won both fights to take his professional record to 50-0, before announcing his retirement later that year.

Pacquiao has fought six times since losing to Mayweather, losing twice and winning four.

The Filipino most recently beat Keith Thurman in July this year to win the WBA (Super) welterweight title and take his professional record to 62 wins (39 by knockout) against seven losses and two draws.
