  • The Oscars have repeatedly nominated and neglected numerous actors.
  • They include Amy Adams, Glenn Close, and Bradley Cooper, who are all up for acting awards this year.
  • Will they finally win?

Each year, deserving performances lose out in the Oscars' best acting categories. But there are a handful of great actors that the Academy has repeatedly nominated and neglected.

Amy Adams has lost five times at the Oscars for five captivating roles, and she's up for her sixth Oscar on February 24. Likewise, Glenn Close was nominated for her seventh Oscar this year. Will they finally win?

Both Bradley Cooper and Willem Dafoe are nominated for their fourth acting Oscars this year (Cooper has a total of seven nominations for producing "American Sniper" and "A Star is Born," and writing "A Star Is Born").

And all-time great Peter O'Toole, unfortunately, had it even worse.
