Comedian Chipukeezy lands top government Job

Celebrated Kenyan Comedian Vincent Mwasia Mutua aka Chipukeezy has been appointed as a member to the Board of Directors at the National Authority for the Campaign Against Drug Abuse (NACADA).

According to a Gazette Notice No. 5593 and the power conferred by section 6 (1) of the NACADA act, the Cabinet Secretary, Interior and Co-ordination of National Government Dr. Fred Matiang'i appointed Vincent Mwasia and George Ogalo to serve as members of the Board.

The two have been appointed to serve at NACADA for a period of three years with effect from 6th June 2018.

Jaguar's resignation

The news of Chipukeezy’s appointment comes months after Musicians Jaguar resigned from NACADA to join Politics, hence being elected as the Member of Parliament for Starehe Constituency.

Jaguar resigned in January 2017 "I would like to tender my resignation as a board member of the National Authority for the Campaign against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (Nacada) effective immediately due to personal reasons. Serving as a Nacada board member has been a fulfilling learning experience and i deeply appreciate all the co-operation from the board, management and staff in the campaign against alcohol and drug abuse.
