According to the singer who was accompanied by her manager for the interview, she was told by security officers that her dress was too short to be allowed on TV and was asked to either have a leso on to cover herself or leave.
She went on to say that she felt so bad about what had happened because she was dressed well.
Mystony added that she had been to other stations on the same day dressed as she was and that she would not expose her body in a bad way because she respects herself.
“It felt extremely awful to be turned down by that TV station, yet other media houses received me well in that dress. I respect my body. So, I wouldn’t expose it with an ulterior motive. I was well dressed, and I think it is time we start embracing modern culture. Above all, I am an artiste; and media houses know that better. I felt humiliated,” said Mistony.
According to her manager Refigah, this was not the first time they had been at the station for an interview and he did not understand where the dress code issue came from.
Comeback
This comes a few days after Grandpa Records made a comeback and introduced Mystony as their new artiste to the music label just when the label was thought to have died.
