After penning a deal to play for Gor Mahia, striker Dennis Oliech became the highest paid football player in the Kenyan Premier League with a monthly salary of Sh350, 000.

And in the acting arena, Catherine Kamau is allegedly the highest paid actress.

Catherine Kamau made the bold claim during an interview with Buzz Magazine. Asked on whether she is expensive to cast given her work in film and TV, Catherine said “That’s a tricky one but I would say I am a bankable actress and, for that, I don’t take less. I want to keep being the most paid actress in the country.”

Questioned on the bold claim that she is the highest paid actress in Kenya Catherine said “I believe so. My sweat equals my price tag. I honestly think I am the highest paid actress at the moment in the country, and this trickles down to how I have been able to package my brand.”

While some may argue that she isn’t the highest earning actress when it comes to acting, it is possible that she could be laughing all the way to the bank because of just how much work she does outside acting.
