The two Gospel bigwigs have lost someone very close to them.

Daddy Owen and Rufftone have lost their dad Josephat Mwatia following a cardiac arrest at their home after having dinner with the singers’ mum.

“He was very ok, he had just had dinner with my mother and he excused himself to go to the toilet and the next thing my mother heard him fall. She went to check and found my father on the floor complaining of chest pains and a few seconds later he died.” Daddy Owen told Citizen.

While a message seen by SDE read “ It is with sadness to inform you that we lost our dad on Saturday night due to a sudden cardiac arrest at our rural home.”
