Started out as a side hustle, Herbert Nyaisu horned his side hustle cum need to survive skills to be one of the most sought after web designers in Kenya today.

As we all know, relying on your basic salary, slavering for someone else reaches an optimum point where you need to re-evaluate the next step of your financial status. Salary is too little. And Nyaisu was no different. During his tenure at a PR agency located in Westlands, he did side hustles to keep him afloat by designing websites for his close friends. His side hustle business web grew from creating and designing friend’s websites to friends of friends and strangers’ websites.

After a period of promising future, realization hit him that he earned more from doing his own thing and from that decided to resign and venture into web design and opened up office in Westlands.

Two years later, not only has Nyaisu grown skills and client base, he has worked with iconic brands, corporate leaders and start-up enterprises – producing a high standard of design that is driven by bold creative thinking: The Food & Drink Industry, Consumer Retail, Professional Services, Recruitment and Insurance, Energy and Technology, Government & Charity Organizations, Public Events and more. Giving back to the community, Nyaisu offers training to any individual who has a drive to be a Graphic/Web designer.

When asked about his successful journey this far this is what he had to say, “It has not been easy”, he says. “Starting out was hard, being new in business, I had to learn some business skills the hard way, but I have come a long way”.
