On a Monday, August 10, 2015, Sudi Mohammed ak.a. Sudi Boy lost his wife Salma Lutevezi.
Taking to Instagram, the singer shared the heart-rending news with his fans by writing “You were my beloved wife and my friend. You encouraged me and told me to never give up. My love for you is endless. I loved you dearly, but God loved you more.”
Salma was laid to rest at her mother’s home in Shanzu Mombasa.
Close to two years after Salma’s passing, Sudi boy have been on the receiving end of some bad rumours. Rumours that he sacrificed his wife in order to gain riches and fame.
Understandably exasperated by this rumour, Sudi Boy preferred to ignore the question altogether preferring to talk about his hit instead.
"Mi naomba tuongee mengine…mimi nataka tuongee mziki na tuongee ngoma yangu mpya ‘Maulana’. Sitaki kuongea sababu nikiongea najipata narudi huko nyuma
Saa hii nimetoa Maulana, watu waangalie Maulana, na msahabiki wangu watarajie menegine, so hayo mengine tuyawache." he said.
Translation:Kindly let’s talk about other things. I want us to talk about my new hit Maulana. I don’t want to talk about this story because it takes me to a dark time.
I’ve just released Maulana, I want people to watch Maulana and I want my fans to expect more. So let’s not talk about those rumours.
