Detectives are looking into the text message to establish why the two opted for an abortion that led to the death of activist Mwatha.

However, Mwatha was married to Joshua Ochieng who works in Dubai and it's believed his wife was seeing Gikonyo behind his back.

Following Mwatha's death, six people have been arrested and arraigned in court.

They include Mr Gikonya (the boyfriend), Betty Akinyi Nyanya alias Betty Ramoya, Richard Ramoya Abudo (Betty’s son), Georgia Achieng Tabitha, Michael Onchiri alias Dr Mike and Mr Stephen Maina (an Uber driver).
