Appearing on Citizen TV's 10 over 10, Akothee disclosed that she has no bad blood with the father of her three girls despite what transpired between them leading to their separation.
“She just said her Name is Vesha Shailan Okello, that Man Okello is my sweetheart. He was my first boyfriend. Wherever you are, daddy, we are proud of you. You see, your daughter in Strathmore. You must come and pat me on the back. Tell your wife to wait a bit…,” said Akothee, minutes after her daughter had introduced herself.

Got married at Age 14
Akothee got married to Mr Okello at age 14. She gave birth to her first born daughter at the age of 14, second born at 15 and third born at 16, but unfortunately in 2000 their relationship went south and they had to go separate ways.
Her second born daughter later succumbed to illness because the popular songstress could not raise enough money to take her to hospital. She got her fourth born in the same relationship in 2000.
Her husband completed his university course in 2003 and they got back together, but sadly the re-union did not last long.

“Maybe I am not a romantic woman, and so he got bored with me on October 6, 2006 and dumped me with our three kids for another woman,” said Akothee in a past Interview.
Akothee in Turkana
For the past few weeks, Akothee has been running an initiative that saw her raise over Sh3.6 Million to help drought victims in Turkana.
The money was used to purchase food stuffs and water for Turkana residents.
Her kind acts melted the hearts of many Kenyans who showered her with praises for her efforts to save lives.
