The accused denied the charges and said they were fabricated
They face three counts namely: stealing the Sh30,000 cow, committing unnatural act with it and killing it.
The cows owner, Enos Shemi is said to have left the tethered cow alongside a calf outside his compound, but found it missing when he returned.

With the aid of a neighbor, he commenced to search for it and found the dead animal in a bush, with all indications showing that an unnatural act was committed to it before it was killed.
The matter was reported to the area chief, who mounted a search for the culprits, leading to their arrest.
Kizito, Lukato and Ikhalamu who appeared remorseful in court denied committing the offences saying they were being framed.
Fabricated
“The charges are fabricated, they are not true,” they unanimously told the Kakamega Senior Principal Magistrate Thomas Muraguri.
He ordered them to be detained at Kakamega Main Prison awaiting their trial. The matter was slated for mention on November 1 and hearing on January 24, 2019.
