Congratulating his candidate, McDonald Mariga, Dr Khalwale made two assertions claiming that they are the main reason why the Jubilee candidate did not win the election.

"Congratulations Mariga for this result. 1. Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula spoilt your 5,275 & 260 votes respectively through their candidates.

"2. Thousands of your would be female voters were scared off by those ODM party goons. You are the winner!" Dr Khalwale tweeted.

Khalwale goes viral with photos picking stones

Khalwale stole the show during the hotly-contested Kibra mini-poll after he was pictured picking stones and holding them ready to engage in a confrontation with some residents who had attempted to attack him.

The mini-poll experienced pockets of violence especially against the Jubilee candidate and the ruling party's officials.

The poll finally went to ODM party candidate Imran Okoth who garnered 24,636 votes against Mariga's 11,230.
