State House deletes the only photos showing DP William Ruto in gov't meeting dealing with coronavirus

Speculation has been rife on social media after State House deleted photos which captured Deputy President William Ruto attending a Cabinet meeting that discussed ways of mitigating the coronavirus epidemic.

Ruto, who had been missing on official meetings dealing with the deadly virus, attended the Cabinet meeting at State House and was conspicuously present in the photos posted on social media.

His supporters flooded the page, liking and commenting on the photos he had appeared.

However, on Thursday evening, the photos were deleted with no explanation provided.

A section of Ruto's supporters took to social media where they claimed foul play in the decision to delete the photos - some attributing them to the alleged broken down political relationship between President Uhuru Kenyatta and the DP.

"So state House officials deleted this photos from their page just because Ruto was being loved more than the rest of the cabinet members this is childish, state House is among the problems we're facing as a country, Hating Ruto will not help kenya," Oscar Livaha complained.

"Who else has realized State House Kenya wamedelete post ya cabinet leo after picha ya Ruto kupata likes na comments mingi kuliko ya president ?? " Kilonzo Mutuku said.

On Tuesday, Ruto's spokesperson, David Mugonyi, denied reports that the DP was being sidelined in the government's management of coronavirus.
