President Uhuru Kenyatta arrived in Washington DC on Saturday afternoon
The President will also meet executives of top US companies to promote Kenya as a preferred investment destination.
During the tour, Mr Kenyatta will stay at the luxurious Hay Adams Hotel which is astone's throw from the White House.
The iconic 5-star luxury hotel prides itself on having the intimate atmosphere of a private mansion.
It was named No. 1 Top Hotel in Washington DC and No. 5 Best Hotel in the U.S.A. in the Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards last year.
The hotel previously housed former US President Barrack Obama three weeks before his inauguration in 2009.
Obama moved his family into the Presidential Suite at the historic hotel after former President, George W. Bush, rejected his request to stay in Blair House, the White House’s guest residence.
According to various travel websites, a standard room at the hotel goes for between Ksh.37,000 and 58,000 ($368-579) while the Luxury one Bedroom Suite goes for the equivalent of Ksh.185,279($1,839).
