East African Safari Classic Rally ready to rumble in Mombasa

The motor sport event will start from Mombasa

The Rally will cover 4,000km in a route stretching from Kenya to Tanzania. Inspections of the competing cars takes place on November 22.

The 2017 event which is powered by Kenya Airways will see Stig Blomqvist headline a solid field of racers across Kenya and Tanzania from November 23 -December 1.

Event General Manager Pipi Renu thanked all the co-sponsors for their unswerving support.

“We are glad to welcome all co-sponsors to the 2017 Classic. The co-sponsors have not only helped the organisers put up a world class event but injected lots of quality to ensure smooth running,” Pipi said.

Kenya Airways, the local carrier is back as the title sponsor for the umpteenth time. They are sponsoring the prestigious biennial event for the seventh time since inception in 2003.

According organisers,flag off will happen at the Sarova White Sands on November 23.
