Recently, the controversial blogger shared his unsolicited sentiments on the dress code of Kenyan news anchors, terming it as 'soft porn'. Sharing screenshots of Yvonne Okwara on screen, Alai tweeted:
David Ndii shuts down Robert Alai over comment on Yvonne Okwara's dress code
Alai was put in his place
"Royal Media is just serving us softporn. Wachira Waruru and SK Macharia are just pimps. Sex is the content. No serious news content here."
The tweet stirred up a debate with some KOT agreeing with him and others coming to the defense of the news achors. In the said photo, Okwara is clad in a decent burgundy wrap dress that's neither tight nor revealing so many wondered what Alai was referring to as soft porn and dismissed him.
Economist and ODM's strategist David Ndii was one of the people who shut him down by telling him to 'visit a brothel' if he was bothered by the outfit.
Okwara took to her Instagram, sharing a screenshot of Ndii's clap back and wrote:
"When one of the world's top economists stands up for you!"
Soft porn refers to content such as photography or film that's sexually arousing or erotic but less graphic than hardcore pornography. Alai calling such decent dressing soft porn was definitely uncalled for and insensitive.
