Prominent Doctor finally rules menstrual cramps are as painful as heart attacks
Women have often described menstrual cramps as a very unique kind of pain that compares to no other.
John Guillebaud, Professor of reproductive health at University College London, told Quartz that period pains are so excruciating and he’s had patients who have described the cramping pain as “almost as bad as having a heart attack.”
Unique pain
Women, especially sufferers of Dysmenorrhea, have often described menstrual cramps as a very unique kind of pain that compares to no other. But women have mostly been told to suck it up and have suffered in silence.
