Media personality Janet Mbugua cautioned Willy Paul against posting videos that promoted violence on social media, saying that they made violence seem funny.
Janet Mbugua blasts Willy Paul for sharing this video on Instagram
“Don’t post such videos, its reckless and makes it seem funny to be violent” said Ms Janet.
Her response came after Willy Poze posted a video on Instagram where a man violently hit a woman to the ground. “Karate!!! ladies kuweni rada, msinyime watu wa karate jut give them,” read Poze's caption.
The caption of the video was “ Ukiomba dem halafu akunyime.”
This comes a few days after Adelle Onyango shamed University of Nairobi (UON) for normalizing rape and shaming the victims. She stated that rape would stop if men stopped raping women.
They are victim of rape not participants!
Her response came after the University released measures to curb rape and robbery in the school. It had reached a conclusion that the numerous rape cases were as a result of recklessness from the female students.
“In all the 3 incidences reported since last year, a clear case of recklessness on the part of our female students can be drawn” read part of the statement.
The statement went ahead to caution ladies from attending social gatherings with no clear agenda, leaving drinks unattended, or taking drinks or sweets that had been opened. It also advised them to attend social places in the company of trusted friends.
