Obama's Sister Fights Back after Kenyan Shames Her Brother

Do not play with Obama!

In a heated conversation on Twitter, a Kenyan badly attacked Mr. Obama on his Kenyan sister’s – Auma Obama twitter handle - noting that he was to blame for the impunity plaguing the nation.

The exchange was spiked after Auma commented on the sentiments of Law scholar Prof. George Wajackoyah during a television interview where he said he was ashamed to be a Kenyan.

“The election amendments have made Kenya a laughing stock internationally, I am ashamed to be a citizen,” the scholar said.

This did not augur well with Obama’s sister who was swift to respond stating: "How dare you be ashamed to be Kenyan! If we would strive to BE MORE KENYAN and not LUO, KIKUYU, KAMBA ETC, we would not be in this mess!!!"

Following her remarks, the user trailing the conversation noted that the former US President was to blame for the current predicament in the country.

“Your brother  is the cause of all that we as Luo community are facing now.He endorsed impunity, now his father's people being massacred,” this he tweeted referring to when Obama endorsed President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Government while castigating the Opposition during his tour to Kenya.

Nonetheless, Auma was not letting this go without a fight to protect his famous brother. She emphasized that the impunity in Kenya must not be blamed on anybody else.

Auma lashed out highlighting that everyone should carry their own cross.

"Our 'impunity' is Kenyan born and bred. Own it. Don't blame. Look at what YOU can do to change it!" Auma said.

At the same time, Ms. Auma continued to insist that if Kenyans want to change then it must start on an individual level.

“This nation is YOU and I. That is what patriotism really means. Don't use poverty as an excuse!” she tweeted.
