What NASA Plans to do on October 26
NASA's plan on election day
The Opposition leaders noted that they will give the polls a wide berth unless their irreducible minimums are adhered to by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
Instead of heading to the ballot on October 26, NASA declared that there will be country wide protests.
Speaking during a rally at Mama Ngina grounds in Mombasa, Suna East MP Junet Mohammed noted that the Opposition will be on the streets calling for the eviction of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
"Uhuru Kenyatta is a squatter in State House and he must leave immediately. If he refuses to leave office he will be evicted by Kenyans.
"On October 26 there will be no elections,” Mohammed reiterated NASA leader Raila Odinga’s sentiments.
The Suna East MP told locals contracted by IEBC to work during the polls not to show up for their duties.
At the same time, Siaya Senator James Orengo threatened to hold a parallel election in case the electoral body proceed with its plan.
“Raila has announced no reforms, no elections. How many agree with him? Orengo asked the cheerful crowd.
"If Uhuru and Chebukati say they will continue with the elections, let them continue with theirs and we will conduct our own elections," the senior Counsel mentioned.
